Modelle der Automarke Opel:
A modern 3-cylinder engine needs to provide respectable power with low fuel consumption. We tested the Opel Adam with the 1-liter ECOTEC Direct Injection engine, which comes in two versions producing 66 or 85 kilowatts.
Germany is famed for its autobahns. But today it’s about good sense, not speed. For the 15th time, readers of two popular German magazines have chosen their ‚Most Sensible Cars‘ of the year.
First came the ‚Adam‘, named after Opel’s founder. Now the automaker has christened a car after Adam Opel’s eldest son. The „Karl“ is a completely new, as Opel’s Carsten Aengenheyster explains.
The 66th International Motor Show or IAA has opened in Frankfurt!
When it comes to hybrid technology, Toyota’s Prius has been leading the pack for 18 years. At the IAA, the Japanese Prius‘ fourth generation has its world premiere. Fuel efficiency is 18 percent greater than its predecessor’s, and its whole body design is new.
Fans of the Opel Astra can now indulge in the youngest member of the compact-class station-wagon generation. The „Sports Tourer“ continues a tradition that began with the very first Kadett in the early 1960s.
It’s proved to be the ultimate bestseller. The Opel Corsa has been on sale for 34 years. In that time, four generations of the Corsa have come and gone, with over 12.4 million vehicles sold. The fifth generation is now on the market, and our man Emmanuel Schäfer is about to take one for a spin.
Opel’s entry-level model was launched at the end of 2014. The Karl may be Opel’s smallest car, but it doesn’t have to hide behind its big brothers‘ backs. The price is very attractive: the basic version costs 9,500 Euros in Germany. And even this version has the standard infotainment system.
The compact MPV is well-known for its generous seating. A revamped design now seeks to further boost its appeal. Visually the new Zafira draws on the design of its little brother, the Astra. The infotainment system is also new. It includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, as well as the Opel OnStar Service Assistant.
This is the new Vivaro from Opel-Vauxhall. With sales of over 600-thousand units, the Vivaro’s captured ten percent of the light-commercial-vehicle market in Europe. Now, with the second generation built in close cooperation with Renault and Nissan, Opel is after even more of the market share of this growing segment.
